No, it really was.
Portal 1 was probably one of the best games I've ever played. The atmosphere, music, art, it all combined to make a creepy, lonely and mysterious game that was just so enchanting and weird and awesome.

Portal 2 threw that out the loving window.

And movies are sometimes better.

I've never seen a movie that was better than the book/game.

The gameplay was the same aside from 'uber-cool-moving-panels!!!!1' and lasers and weird light bridges and stuff.

It was fun, but I'll never consider it Portal.
