Is this processor dual core or quad core?

When I bought my Intel Core i3 2120, I was told that it was a quad core. Now that I looked online, it says that it is only a dual core. Can anyone confirm this?

i think all the i3s are dual only.
all i5s can be either way
and all i7s are quad (and 6core?)

It's dual but some versions of it can emulate quad core, which isn't as powerful but works just as well. Mine emulates quad core but there's nothing for it to emulate it for ;-;

It says 4 CPUs but the actual hardware has 2.

I use the i3 and there is nothing wrong with it. Everything runs fine, although that may be due to the fact I have unneeded graphics power too.
