I'm just putting this out here. The second amendment is quote on quote, "The right to bear arms in an organized militia."
At the time, it was meant for citizens to be the militia. And technically, that's still the case, because people prefer to keep themselves defended. It's a right to protect your family and property. This brings up another issue. Personal defense. If you're going to say "Call the cops," that's not the answer. They're not fast enough. Be it traffic or speed limits or other issues, it can take up to EIGHT MINUTES for the cops to arrive ON AVERAGE. And that's for a Priority One call. For a Priority Two call, it's up to 27 minutes on average.
