Author Topic: Today I learned why gambling is bad.  (Read 1066 times)

I was playing RS one day, and I heard someone talking about a falador party room drop that had a lot of money in it. I ran in mid drop and got a full guthans set (1,451,641gp, which is alot for me). I could not wear the thing so I decided to just throw it in the bank.

Then came today.

I was running around doing random quests, and I was at the GE, when in the corner I saw a player hosting a game called Hot/Cold (There's a flower in the game that users can plant in the ground that have flowers of a random color, the player says weather it will be a cold, or hot color if yes, player just doubled his money vise versa) So I bet my guthans set and then I loving lost.

tl;dr got lots o money by chance then lost it via gambling

hot/cold is for scrubs
unless you're the host
you have 3/8 change to win because:
3 hot
3 cold
2 for host if multicolor
you're better off not playing
also i guessed this was for a game for some reason

I learned that gambling is bad  from sonic the hedgehog and Pokemon.

Even if you had won in those player hosted gambling games, you wouldn't have gotten a thing.

Runescape is stuff now.

But anyway, it's more like why loosing is bad.

Runescape is a worse addiction than gambling.

Also,
>lose game
>don't give them stuff
???
>smart thinking

At least Runescape has gambling now instead of stuffty scams.

Owait, those are still around, aren't they. :P

I gambled the forget out of Pokemon hard all night long once, just for the intention of losing.

I had a gambling strategy in Torn City that was supposed to be flawless more or less.

Otherwise, in a game of Blackjack.

Started with a low bet, and just continued with it.

If I lost, I double the bet everytime. If I win once I just return to the starter bet; I just gained my money back and the starter bet bonus.

Let's say my starter bet was 15k

15k - Loss > 30k - Loss > 60k Loss and if I win at 120k, 120-60-30-15=15k again, so I still get a profit of 15k no matter what.

The problem is when you reach the hundreds, and also depends on what money I had.

I personally didn't think that using this pyramid scheme I could lose 12 million $ with just a 15k starting bet.
I had a HUGE loss streak D:...

I've heard about Runescape, and only in real life because people would always say "lol ya man i sold some goldenplatinum encrusted dragon turd sword" or something, I would always hear about people's gold.

Easiest thing to win is just to play online roulette. Bet on red, if it's not red, bet double on black, if it's not black, bet double again on black. Simple math tells us that probability-wise you pretty much can't lose. Doesn't work IRL though, people who run tables like that know how to make you lose.

Always save before you do something you think you can possibly lose.

IF YOU GAMBLE, YOU'RE GONNA HAVE A BAD TIME
