Author Topic: Is it possible to force all bricks to ghost, regardless of distance?  (Read 1207 times)

Pretty much the title. Wondering because I don't always know if I'm saving every brick on the server at once, or not.

Depending how big the build is.

v21r####

Good idea since maps are now infinite.

Depending how big the build is.
Is there a way to do it that doesn't care about size?

In Advanced Options, there are two sliders on the right.

Check/uncheck the box under the sliders, then slide the bottom one to the end.

I already did that, it doesn't let me save bricks that are a billion units away.

that's not very helpful imo.

wynd, i would suggest making teleports and an event that sends you to each of them.

server sided saving. check rtb, chrono made it.

I mean to save bricks on other servers, I can't host internet servers myself. But thanks Lugnut.

Edit: Whoa, when did you lose the numbers in your name?

longass time ago, badspot surgically altered my name.

and no, it's not even physically possible to do what you're asking unless you want to spend a forgetlopad of time ghosting

You are telling him to make his draw distance larger. This information is not useful in the least.

He wants a way to force ghost all bricks everywhere no matter the distance. I would find this useful.

Isn't this the point?

Yeah, time's not such an issue.

1. Fly around build until all bricks are ghosted.
2. Save.
3. ???
4. Profit.

That doesn't really work for RPGs and stuff that I can't fly around in, but want to play on my own.

Just fly around, it's no big deal.

Not that easy when you have massive builds. The BluZone build for example had individual sections which you entered by teleporting into with setPlayerTransform events. They were distanced to prevent brick lag, but it meant that the save would regularly fracture because it was impossible to F8 and retain all sections.
