Well I don't lose anything by asking so here it goes.

So I'm an art student ya. I'm moving into the Fenway neighborhood in Boston and the rent's not cheap at all (upwards of 2.3k a month not including utilities), but you gotta pay for proximity to your school. So I'm splitting with 2 other musicians people who live in the opposite sides of the country. Then you mount that on top of the cost of going to a private university, not making state financial aid because a parent makes too much (which blows because it's a 40k+ a year and said parent disagrees with my lifestyle), and having to drive out west to visit friends and pay for gas.

I even had to get a macbook pro this year because of a required program I'm taking, so that was a big money sink along with the  photoshop and mac office. My phone's hanging in there, I had to use my last upgrade I was saving to repair some heavy damage it took from a friend's back gate closing on it. According to AT&T an upgrade means a downgrade for how much you're willing to spend, and I had to go with a refurbished HTC Tilt 2 which is a windows phone and basically made by Satan. It would do me a lot of good to have a phone that's apple quality build and save me the trouble of spending even more money that I don't have. Welp aka help.

Even though I own a android phone, I'm entering into this? Why?

First off, the phone isn't even a year old, and the phone is already screwed up. I've used my phone for an LED flashlight when I built my computer and that somehow caused permanent damage to the battery. The phone shuts off whenever the LED is accessed or whenever I do anything I really need to do.

I've been using an iPod Touch 4G for awhile, and I've never seen it fail on me. To be completely honest, Apple knows how to make something work for a daily basis. I'd rather have something like an iPhone that actually works, instead of something that dies out in a year.

Even though the battery is forgeted, I really don't trust that it's the battery's fault. It could be the phone itself.

tl;dr: My phone is really not usable, iPhone would be a great replacement, since I don't need to do hardcore tasks on it.
