The Olympics end today. I will allow 3 more days for discussion, and then lock the topic.

you guys forgot about the the disabled people olympics

also, olympics ends tomorrow

you guys forgot about the the disabled people olympics

The Paralympics, you silly!

Team USA just beat Spain for the gold!

The opening ceremony had some really great bits in, and some rather awful bits.
And the closing ceremony hasn't happened yet, silly.
Was reffering to the Canadian Winter olympics.

I'm laughing at all the forgetnuts that were convinced there was gonna be a terrorist attack during the Olympics.

aa tremists !!

Just watched a stuff load of the ending ceremony. There was some freaky stuff, but pretty good music regardless. There was this wonderful bit with "Always Look On The Bright Side of Life" and it was great. There was this hilarious part where they made this weird John Lennon head. You had to be there. My least favorite part was Jessi J singing with Queen. It was really awful.

Other than that, it was pretty good regardless. Hope Rio is just as entertaining.

Closing ceremony was nowhere near as good as the opening ceremony, but a lot of the music was pretty good. I really wish acts would stop being chosen for these sort of things for being generally famous in the 1980s. It happened with McCartney in the opening ceremony, and now some of the acts in the closing ceremony were ruined a little by the fact that the performers can't really sing that well any more. Shame. Oh well, it's a good job they paid full tribute to "imagine" with video footage rather than an actual performer :)

Rio looks to be pretty good, or at least one massive party which coincides very nicely with their annual carnival. Their attempt at being comical (one guy teaching suit guy to tapdance and failing) didn't seem to get much of a reaction though. Still, you can't have comedy every 4 years :P

Worst part was probably that woman at the start singing, because she has a stupid haircut and sounds terrible. Oh, and Taio Cruz failed to sing the alternate "Minecraft - TNT" lyrics xD

Expect Maracas.

"Your royal highnesses, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen" <-- Worst bit about this been is the speed at which they say it...sloowwwlyy
*Maracas amongst cheers from crowd*
"This was a great games (blah de blah)
*Maracas louder from Brazilian area*

Yup...they've already started.

I was told there was going to be British rock. So instead of seeing Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, or Black Sabbath there was a bunch of neon, spice girls, some woman in a skin color suit with covered in glitter, boring McCarthy, some sort of Cold Play sound alike, and some guy pretending to be Freddie Mercury. After that I just went to bed after that and didn't care for the rest.

Anyway the Opening Ceremony was better because it gave you a brief history of Britain and it was more entertaining. The Closing Ceremony was just random entertainment and randomness like the neon ocotopus.

I liked the Spice Girls bit

I think I watched like 15 minutes of girls gymnastics before I realized I don't care at all anymore about sports. So I played the darksiders instead.
