Author Topic: Blockland Texture Pack  (Read 5466 times)

I'm currently working on a Cowboy RP, but I need a different texture pack for the buildings, I saw different servers with bricks that had dark edges, and I want those type of bricks, please help.

Color set?
No, dark edges on the bricks, I already have Trueno's colorset

You're talking about Squideey's current set of brick textures. You can find them here. However, there is an older version, and Manty made his own textures based on those here.

Just note that to get them to work with Blockland's current 'launcher', you will have to set them to 'read-only'. Follow the instructions provided in the posts with the textures and you should be fine.

Stop telling people to use read only, it is not supposed to be used and I'm pretty sure badspot bans for it

the User Content add-on is worse than setting files to read-only

It says back them up, but where do I backup my old textures? I don't get it :/

you don't need to
just undo the steps you've taken to use the new textures and the launcher will automatically restore the normal textures

I deleted the textures, I launched the engine and it restored my default textures. So what do I do now? Put Squideey's textures in my empty content folder in config?

depends on what method you're using to have custom content

Uh, I downloaded User Content Alpha. I just want Squideey's texture pack :c

If you want custom textures, read-only is an okay way to do it, while Client_Usercontent is apparently a "hacky workaround". Destiny said so!

If you want the textures, just follow the instructions provided, but when it says to "back up the default textures", that's just you either taking them out and putting them away, or else making copies. This is in case you want to replace the new textures with the old ones again. You'd best remove User Content.

It also breaks your harddisk faster.

Get user content alpha, then place the brick textures you want in Blockland\config\content\data\shapes. Those files probably don't exist so you have to make them. Or you can set them to read-only, but Badspot specifically said not to do that, so I would do user content alpha instead

Ugh, I don't know which to do :c
Should I do it the non read-only way or do I do it the read-only way? I don't get it :c
