Okay, wall of text incoming.
If ponies indeed; never existed, horses wouldn't exist either. This would completely make horse riding obsolete, so the car would have likely been invented sooner. The car will have made new developments from now, leading to much cleaner and better for the environment automobiles.
Cowboys wouldn't have existed either, or at least as the way we think of them now. Western cowboys? Gone, or they'll be carboys riding on the top of Model T Fords. (Which is by far more badass and would incline me to watch black and white westerns.)
The creators of a show currently known as My Little Pony, would not have the word 'pony' to use, as it does not exist in the English dictionary, nor in any other language. Therefore, since that is the root of this thread, this thread would never exists, nor would several hundreds of other threads on this forum.
Without My Little Pony, there would be no bronies, no 4chan cults of the sort, no talk of ponies in general. Hundreds of thousands of forum avatars around the world would change. The internet as we know it would be different.
Children would not watch cutesy shows like MLP, and instead would watch things like Dragon Ball Z. This would incline them to try to shoop dah whoop other kids, and some will likely succeed. The human race will diminish due to the lack of children, and would eventually go extinct.
All because of ponies.
