Author Topic: Getting perma banned from Lugnuts Zombies in the Bluzone  (Read 35573 times)

If it was a stuff server, why did you join.
Come on dude, it's in the first sentence.

"You guys host a stuff server though because you banned me under one of your own, poorly written rules."

Nobody ever reads my posts ;-;

it's not a really cloudy rule. you also got a fair warning from the admin.

I move that we ignore seventh from now on in this topic, I've already linked kniaz here, so he'll have a very interesting comment when he get's online, I'm sure.

Nothing more we can do, we're just going in circles.

I agree.

inb4seventh says "lol that means i won!!!!1"

why would we want to?

Last post I'm making to seventh.
No, it wasn't a bad reason. You said it yourself that it was a logical point, as in you need a serious name to effectively serious RP. Which you knew about as per the motd.

I never, and I mean never(go check yourself) said that a serious name isn't needed to effectively roleplay seriously.

My entire argument was that the welcome message is too ambiguous and you could avoid the problem of good players being banned if you just made it more specific.

"But SeventhSandwich, the players with the silly names will end up being stuffty players!"

Wrong, Lugnut himself said that he uses a silly name sometimes but apparently it's funny and okay because he's the host.

Here, I'll basically write it out so we can end the 'circle' as Lugnut calls it.

Is the welcome message ambiguous enough that it warrants a change so that players who misread it do not get permanently banned?

Answer that and we're done here.

the rule is pretty well written and pretty damn clear

it just so happens that you're a dumbstuff. as i said ages ago, this doubles as a great way to weed out the dumbstuffs.

Wrong, Lugnut himself said that he uses a silly name sometimes but apparently it's funny and okay because he's the host.
Wrong, I said that because I have proven myself to be a (at least fairly) intelligent roleplayer.
We use the rule as a filter to filter out forgettards. It's very effective.

wow this is like exactly what i just said except different words.

forget.

Abuse is the improper usage or treatment for a bad purpose, often to unfairly or improperly gain benefit.
It's a serious RP.
You're abusing the set name function by using it for a bad purpose, in this example using a non-serious name in a serious RP.

Wrong, I said that because I have proven myself to be a (at least fairly) intelligent roleplayer.

There's no such thing as an intelligent roleplayer.

Kids are supposed to grow out of playing pretend by the time they are 8.

The welcome message is not too ambiguous because there are plenty of players who set their name to something appropriate.
