Author Topic: "Quality Thread Right Here Folks!"  (Read 2995 times)

This statement pisses me off.

It's dismissive and should be ban worthy. It also (in most cases)is meant as a "I dont care but want to post anyway" type of deal.

Stop it.
It means nothing and helps no one. We can all spot a dumb thread.
It also feeds trolls in alot of cases by giving un-needed replies.

What do you think? Should it be bannable?

It's also extremely overused

it's not dismissive, it means the thread is stuffty and/or the op is stuffty.

Therefore you dismiss the point of said stuffty thread?

Therefore you dismiss the point of said stuffty thread?
no. saying a thread is stuffty is not the same as dismissing the point of the thread. dismissing a point would be like saying nobody cares about the point being presented, while saying the thread is stuffty would be saying the point is presented very badly. IE: op says "BADSPT IS GY HE DSTOYED MY SUPR FORT ON BDSPTS BOLK PARRTY IT WAS SUPR CUL N BLUD RED COLORE N HAD GUNS AND ROKETS THT SHOTTED" comment says "quality thread"
compared to
"badspot is a friend because he banned me"
'OMG WHO CARES'

Yeah but why respond when you can just ignore it? More often than not it's a troll.

It's basically saying "NO ONE CARES" when you do it anyway.

I agree with Megaguy, this statement is highly overused and everyone should stop posting it. It also should be ban worthy it's basically saying "I don't care".

Why make a drama when you can just ignore it.

Why make a drama when you can just ignore it.
Easy to ignore a thread, hard to ignore stuff that happens everywhere.

it only happens in stuff threads, so i don't see your point.

It isn't dismissive in any way, unless you count calling a thread badly made as dismissive.

Quality thread right here; folks.

In all seriousness, it's not dismissive. It's a way of stating if a thread is poorly constructed or overall a ball of bullstuff.

Quality thread right here; folks.
Oh forget off.  OP is right except for how it's dismissive.  It's so loving unoriginal and it makes every person who does it look like a gigantic starfish.

here
we
go
again
should be bannable

or when someone posts a drama topic that isnt about a specific person. there is always that 1 starfish that makes the same joke "whats his ID so i can ban him"
thats dismissive as well.
should ban em

and i am getting very tired of dramas being made about previously banned users. as if its necessarily to announce a user's new name. topics like that are litterally inciting people to flame a specific user.
ban that OP as well.

Dismissive is 'who cares,' not 'this isn't really legible, i can't understand what's going on.'
