I just pulled my headphones out of my bag and the jack was bent and was cracked at the base. It functions properly but I am concerned that it might break soon. Is there any way I could bend it back or fix it without buying a new jack? They are Audio-Technica ATH-M30s. I don't want to replace the jack because it has a special screw on 1/4" that I don't want to have to chuck.

I'm sure the headphones work by electric impulse, so as long as the metal in the jack can touch the metal in the socket it would be fine.
This is completely nonsensical.

Also it's not currently broken but it is at risk of breaking. I need to know if I can straighten it out.

if it breaks you could solder it back together

How badly is it bent? Pliers can work.
I'm slowly but surely bending it back. I don't want to do it too fast because I don't know how brittle the metal is. I appears as if it is steel though so it should go smoothly. Currently the fact that it's bent does cause only the right side to work sometimes so it does hold some priority.
