Author Topic: Transparency in Milkshape.  (Read 2556 times)

Hey,

I was wondering, does MS3D and DTS shapes support select transparency? If so how do I get it working?

I am asking because I want to add a seperate cloud layer to my earth in the map I am making and I have a cloud map with transparency on it.

I have a attached a compressed version of the cloud map I wish to use. Please ignore the image size and such because I know those rules. I just want to know if its possible to use a a selectively-transparent texture.

Also is it possible to animate it so it rotates automatically when placed within map?

Just tried it ingame using the texture.

It didn't work. The areas that were transparent in the texture and even in Milkshape turned a light blue when placed ingame.

Any ideas?

The slider? You have to use it. It's in the texture menu.

Doesnt work for me. I use it but it doesn't have any visable effect on ingame model.

Then you are doing it wrong.

lol

Did your image have any trans?
