im gonna install homebrew on my wi-
oh wait THE SD CARD SLOT DOESN'T WORK.
fml.
it's a 2006 wii too so don't tell me to warranty it.

So what do I do to un-do the letterbomb changes?

sounds like a lot of effort for what is just becoming a very low end, and limited computer :(
i guess the price of a wii is worth it if you just have a tv in your room and have those very basic needs.

Formatting your Wii is probably the very worst thing you can do. This doesn't delete your hacks, and it can brick your wii to the point where you can't start up the console without a really strong NAND helper like Priiloader or a boot2-set bootmii install.
Priiloader is worthless compared to BootMii.

Priiloader is worth it though, you can unbrick your wii if you forgeted up, and you can make your own custom wii boot screen, and load files from there without going to the system menu.

My Wii is Hardmoded, Black system menu, custom boot, play DvD's, gba, snes,ps1 emulators installed, a working youtube browser(wiimc), riivolution is the best thing ever too, and there is other crap I did too, Hardware wise I uninstalled my wii's gamecube ports, and replaced it with a control module for the led's the wii has installed, I replaced the blue led's with red ones, got a black wii shell, cut some areas on it so that it has red light bleeding off it, and maybe I'll install a something else soon considering I still have room on the gamecube controller ports.

I am never selling this wii.

I was talking about unbricking. BootMii hooks itself earlier in the boot process and is overwritten by less updates, so there's a smaller risk of it not being able to unbrick your Wii. Also, last time I checked Priiloader couldn't restore NAND backups.

Did you get the updated version?

IIRC it wasn't released back when I was into Wii homebrew (around 3.3-4.1). I've done it a few times since then, but it's usually just a matter of:
  • Install BootMii
  • Take backup
  • Downgrade the system to 4.1
  • Install HBC & co

Why downgrade?
4.1 is usually more cooperative than 4.3, while there are no benefits to using 4.2+.

What do you mean by cooperative? And I thought downgrading was bad. Plus what other benefits?

It's a bit risky, but that's what we have BootMii for.
And to list the changes according to WiiBrew:

  • Most of the IOS's have been updated or stubbed.
  • Updates your boot2 to boot2v4, overwriting BootMii/boot2.
  • Checks for region converted Korean Wii (checks for korean common key inside EEPROM?) if so then brick with a 003 Error.
  • Improved region checking for discs and titles, the system menu now checks the Title ID from the TMD.
