Author Topic: Does Youtube partnership help in getting video views?  (Read 1035 times)

Recently my friend has been going on about this youtube channel he created. I decided to also make one just for the hell of it. Use it to upload my ATVing and car audio mod videos and the occasional one of my friends doing stupid stuff. Everytime I log onto my channel it bring up a message talking about Youtube partnership.

So yeah does that help your videos get more views? Is it worth it?

Well, first, you need a good amount of subscribers to make a youtube partnership.  And also, it doesn't really help in views.  Other then giving you the motivation to make more since you also get money off of ads.  You also have to post atleast one to two videos a month if you want the money.

EDIT: Although I am not completely sure of this.

bollocks

"Having at least one video approved for monetization makes you a YouTube partner"

It doesn't help with views, but it's worth it considering it's free.

You need a decent amount of subscribers before youtube will let you become a partner.

You also cannot use copyrighted content at all if you opt for monetization that doesn't fall under fair use.

I know a guy who's a partner and if you send me some questions I'll ask him them.

I was able to make my account Partnership the second I made it, no subs.
You just need one video.

It's basically nothing except they put ads on your vids and you get money from them.  As long as you don't have copyrighted content.  If you DO have copyrighted stuff, you can still be a partner, you just can't enable THAT particular video for ads.

I have it but I haven't set up an adsense account or anything for money to be put into  :cookieMonster:

Partners can set custom thumbnails, customize their channel page better, and can do some other cool stuff with their videos.

Oh that's weird, I always heard you needed like 500 subscribers to become a partner. You learn something new every day I suppose.

I have a youtube partnership with 6 subs

monetization != partnership

The "partnership" most of you are talking about is where YouTube puts ads on your videos and you get about $2 a month.

An actual partnership is where they actually pay you to make videos, buy equipment for you, and send you on paid trips to make videos of events, which is pretty much only for people who make live-action videos and get millions of views a week.
