This doesn't seem that much when you have to think about copious amounts of stress and liver poisoning
and the fact that if you start for a big name company you probably won't even get half of that

you do realize that a programmer writes ever-ending lines of code in word document right?

You need to smarten up your tools lol.

But yeah, if you join a company as a programmer you'll probably be separated from the design team and will have very little input on what you will be making. Instead, you'll be making what the designers demand work.

It can pay well, depends where you live and your experience, age, and the company you join. Often programmers can find contract jobs or freelance stuff too.

If you are more the creative type you might want to look elsewhere.

In the case of proper programmers, that would be an IDE

notepad++ isn't an IDE

:P

Proper programmers write code wherever the hell they want.

A professional programmer would probably not commit to anything serious in a word document, though.
