Author Topic: Cmd triggered events. [V2.5!]  (Read 10829 times)

Is there a distance limit that this doesn't work to, like if I were to use only one brick with all the commands, could someone 256 bricks away be able to use it?

I remember something like onChatMessage which looked for a similar trigger.

No distance limit.
If you want, I'll add a pref for it.

Btw, submitted update to rtb.

OnChatMessage was garbage an poorly coded
Idk how it got on rtb

Don't know much about events, but it looks like people who do would put this to good use. :panda:

The only way to do this with VCE is to either run a relay loop, or to touch the brick or anything.
Wrong.

Ontopic: Pretty cool.

Wrong.

Right.
There is no other way of triggering a VCE check.

OnChatMessage is not an option. Causes immense lag because poor and looping through all bricks.
Instead of simply adding to a list

I'm stupid

I'm using ontalk for all of the systems in my City RPG, and it  works really well, because it has a distance limit (3 bricks).

I'm gunna use your event though, for things like transferring money and stuff.  Thank you.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this mod is not susceptible to eval injection (by anyone other than the host, and it doesn't matter if you're the host), and give it my non-existant stamp of approval.

I was worried you were dumb enough to leave it wide open for SA's to use eval but you didn't, so good job.

What do you mean by eval injection?
Leaving it open to use eval?
???
This isn't script_eval?

Maybe it's just too late, but I don'tget it :/
