Author Topic: Am I the only one who thinks the olympics is stupid?  (Read 5883 times)

i don't like the olympics but it's not stupid.

I think it's terrible, what happened last night made me think - I saw a bunch of teenage girls pretty much covered in make up, trying to win the gold medal in that gymnastic portion, many of them crying from the stress before it even was half way over. The faces of the Russian team compared to the faces of the straight faced Americans was pretty heartbreaking.

Instead of war, there should by olympics

Things would work out so much bettererer

It's a reminder to every country that we can somewhat agree on something, so we won't destroy each other. Plus, it's for bragging rights.

Or we could add war to the Olympics. World wide LARPing!

gymnastics is the worst sport.

so? its competition. Everything shouldn't be easy
gymnastics is the worst sport.
nah its cool

I liked the olympics until I saw that you could buy reserved seating and private areas to watch competitions for extra money. In a competition dedicated to bringing people together. I don't see why we have a 6 meter tall electrified wall seperating the spectators from the Olympians. And the reserved boxes made to keep you away from other people.

Accidentally hit post

relieves country tension with even more tension

people train extremely hard to compete in the olympics. these people are doing something great with their lives, what are you doing? the olympics is also a worldwide sport, so how is your opinion better than the millions of people who watch it?

olympics should be more like this

the only thing I don't like about it is that it happens every 4 years :(
