While my school does forbid ear piercings/gauges/etc. friend-apparel, I'd still hate it even if I was in public schooling.

when you wear gauges, the only thing anybody else can expect is "oh look, he likes richard in his earring hole" why else would you stretch a hole that big on your ear? it doesn't look good.
