Good video editing programs are hard.

Well After Effects would be like learning how to man a rocket to Mars then, I guess. By the looks of it, videospin seems
pretty simple to use..

Are there any FREE FOREVER, NO TRIAL, LIKE AFTER EFFECTS video editing programs?

EDIT: I mean not like Windows Movie Maker, I mean something actual. Something that you can put images on-screen. Like gunshots and flares.
If you want to add gunshot flares, you might want to just edit the one frame of video and add in the flare and then put it into the video as a picture. Unfortunatley there isn'tr really any good free programs better than windows movie maker or windows live movie maker. Unless you want to spend at least 60 dollars or so on sony vegas studio, you're stuck.

edit- however I haven't heard of videospin before, not sure about that

How do you edit a frame in windows movie maker then D:<

Take a snapshot of the frame, every Window's Movie Maker has this abillity.
Put it into Paint or some other program, and edit.
Now import into WMM but make the frame really short.
That's for muzzle flashes.
