Author Topic: How long does it take to reset a sleeping cycle?  (Read 836 times)

over the last two months ive been going to sleep at about 2 am and waking up at 12 pm, but by the end of this week i have to go from that to going to bed at 10pm and waking up at 6 am, is there any good way to easily reset my sleep cycle very fast?

Just begin sleeping at desired time and use an alarm, you should be accustomed to the new schedule in about a week.

I would say only a couple of days to a week. I can usually change my sleep schedule in 1 day. I went from 2 A.M. - 12 PM sleeping to 12 AM - 6:30 AM in a day. It will take my dad a week coming back from Afghanistan

By not going to bed until 10 pm?
Or waking up at 12 pm then having a nap at 10 pm, you should wake up about 4-5 hours later and you'll be set to stay awake til 10 pm from there.

the last couple times i tried it i ended up laying in bed for 4 hours straight (2 am) then falling asleep

It takes practice, I used to take an entire week of pushing my sleeping time forward a few more hours each day before I could normalize it, now I can fix it in a single day.
You've just got to keep trying methods like the one I posted

It takes me about 3 or 4 days. All I do is go to sleep desired time, and set an alarm. Probably not as practical as
waking up at 12 pm then having a nap at 10 pm, you should wake up about 4-5 hours later and you'll be set to stay awake til 10 pm from there.
