I am promised 100mb/s.
I get 30 mb/s.
The forget.

Upgrade router/modem.

If you're on cable you need a DOCSIS 3 modem (with 8 channel bonding if you're on Comcast), and a router that can support 100mbps.

We're currently paying $30 a month for this junk. We should get better, I could get (well they say this)

We could get for $150 a month we could get this:

20 Ping

6.73 (ish) Download Speed

5.32 (ish maybe a little better) Upload speed.

For $99/m from Comcast you can get 105mbps download, and 20mbps upload

Pretty much. Look into something better.
Go with FiOs if it's in your area.

We're using D-link DIR-825, that thing should be able to take 500mb/s.

I am actually upgrading to FiOS Quantum sooner or later.
