GPA has absolutely nothing to do with innate or academic intelligence considering it's possible to fail classes even if you understand the subject matter.

Also, just because you're older than normal for your grade doesn't mean you're stupid. I'm about half a year older than 75% of the kids in my class because I have a late birthday and I had to do kindergarten twice so that I could reach my fifth birthday.
