Weird mark on my tongue? PICTURES :-) [Another medical mystery solved!]

So, recently, my mouth has been very dry and I've had sort of pain in the back of my throat/tongue, such as pains whenever I would yawn. Now, for maybe like 2 days, I've had some sort of patch of red, raw looking thing on my tongue that has some little tastebud looking bumps on the patch here and there, along with something that looks like a split in my tongue, though it's probably not, running along from it.

I've looked up a bunch of tongue/throat diseases/sicknesses/problems, but none of them look anything like this. It hurts a bit when I eat or touch the patch with the rest of my mouth.

Red flat Marks on your tongue could be the result of eating hot food and having burned the buds, but its temporary. Though what you said... a split? Yarly go see a doctor.

i think i might have burned it, though it's not really a split, since there was no bleeding whatsoever.

I've really never heard of a split on a tongue, and without it I'd say strep throat.  Seriously though, see a doctor because a split on your tongue sounds dangerous.

take some chloraseptic spray to reduce any inflamation/irritation.

avoid salty things obviously.
and call a doctor.
