Author Topic: Loving my new job.  (Read 1146 times)

I got this job a few weeks ago working for this carpenter who knows my father. He knows that I've been looking for work over the summer so he let me come and work with him with a couple other guys who also work for him. Currently we've been working with actual general contracters called "Mowry and Smidt" who have a very good reputation. They took on the project of working on the local country club. The guys and I are working on a pavilion for the new country club. This week we hung trusses (basically rafters of the building), put those in place and have started putting on the plywood for the roof.

I really like this job and I get payed well. This week I've made over $400 working for this guy.

I could buy a lot of blockland keys

That's good for you.
Now buy me steam games.
No, seriously, steam games congrats.

Your so lucky... I WANT A loving JOB

I just got a new job as an admissions representative at a hospital. I'm still in training but I love it so far.

Sounds sweet. Thats kinda what Im doing. I most do the lifting and moving things but I have done some building.

Another awesome thing is the boss of "Mowry and Smidt" is wicked nice and is totally cool with a 15 year old being on a construction site.

The local Starbucks won't even consider me until I'm 16 and it pisses me off.

Yea that sucks.

Don't you have to be 18 to handle food?

I know you have to be 18 to work at any local hardware store/contractor company which sucks for me but Ill have good recommendations when the time comes to apply.
