Please don't say Hosting Service 2 is gay or stupid or something lame like that, because it's more than a thousand times better than the first one. Answer seriously, and please read the whole thread.
This is really strange.
I have two hosting service clients who have this problem : K3k0m@n and ScratchTheEpicSpaceDude (Saxophone).
What happens is, apparently they can't connect to their servers.
K3k0m@n runs on 96.248.11.33:6010 (Port 6010)
and Scratch/Saxophone runs on 96.248.119.33:60000 (Port 60000)
Me and my friend Sam11 can join both servers successfully.
Apparently, Scratch/Saxophone's router does not support UPnP while K3k0m@n's does, and he has it enabled.
Since Saxophone doesn't have UPnP, I'm planning to change his port to 28000. But some other server with 28000 is randomly running on that port on some different user in my tower server, so I have to get the password for it so I can end it first.
But K3k0m@n does have UPnP, and it is enabled. So I gave him port 50700. He couldn't connect, but me and Sam could. Then I changed it to port 6010. Still doesn't work, but me and Sam could connect.
My firewall has all these ports open, and all my other 20 servers being hosted work without any problems for anyone.
I want to port forward to see if it works, but I don't have my router password, and it's a FiOS router, so it's not featured in the default passwords list. Yes, Actiontec manufactured it, but that listing in the default password does not work either. I have tried anything that would seem to be the default password, and I don't want to factory reset my router.
I would have to ask my dad to do it, since he has the password, but he isn't too happy and most likely will refuse.
Alright, really strange. All my other servers being hosted work.
What do you think is happening? Once again, don't say Hosting Service 2 is gay or stupid or that it's a lie, because it's not, and I need serious answers.
