"The moral of the story is, if you go looking for death, you are sure to find it."

2005. A mission arises for those that are willing. Solve a riddle, get 9000 pounds; the equivalent of fourteen thousand US dollars. Who organized? No one knows, and whoever is willing to solve it certainly doesn't care. The only thing they are identified by is a moniker, Al1.

At the same time, YouTube is created. A new concept, allowing you to share and upload videos with those all around the world. Essentially, a shouting match has started. Within this shouting match is a man named Fortress, determined to solve Al1's quest. He decides to chronicle his journey and upload it to YouTube, for those that are interested.

Nobody is interested.

If you would like to see Al1's original website, go here.

Fortress' original channel has been lost, most likely taken down by YouTube. A channel was created in 2008 and has reuploaded all his original videos. You can find them here.

wat

Forgot to mention the picture is clickable if you didn't watch the video.

That was quite interesting.

This was posted a while ago, and I never really understood it fully

saw this yesterday, thought it was pretty interesting once things started coming together.

I saw the death coming a mile off.
Think.
The first clue is a story about people finsing a load of dosh, but they die.
A random person on the net who nobody knows burying nine grand?
I knew it would happen.

i remember this.
creepy but cool at the same time.

Holy damn that was creepy... Too bad nobody noticed Fortress. I wonder which one of them died, the treasure hunter or the other guy.

This "fortress" guy isn't the type of person to make videos, so I'm assuming that "fortress" and "al1" were the same person. Pretty sure the whole murder thing was faked as well, a bogus news article published on some site that would take it without proper sources.

If they were different people, and somebody actually got killed looking for the money, then that would be neat.

IIRC the end of the video tells you it's fake, but if it doesn't there's some clues to help you like the shovel in the background of one of the videos
also why would the news article have a picture of him if they couldn't identify him

I looked up this "Fortress" guy

I got a message saying the account was closed

EDIT:

It's funny because his name is al1, when typed out it's al one. Put those two words together it's "ALONE" Now don't call me stupid, but I found that very interesting.
