gweedo was fishy

scratch is not fishy

kalar is fishy

scratch is /not/ fishy
Am I fishy?

Correct me if I am wrong but if Kalar is fishy, then I cannot trust my key in the hands of a server which has just been put official in less than 24 hours.

Just in case you didn't see:

I logged onto the server through VNC and found this.

What is this Kalar?

Especially when I see things like this going on

Am I fishy?
Every free hosting service in my eyes seems fishy.

Kalphiter can be trusted, although he may be an ass or w/e you all think of him, Kalphiter does have a decent service which can benefit the 24/7 servers out there.

Not using service anymore.

Take me off the client list now.

yes, i agree. however, using eval() to call the setKey() function is 100% safe, and does not echo to console unless the function calling eval() dictates it.
the key.dat cannot be used on anything other than the computer it was created on, and playing blockland with VNC sucks.

I can assure everyone I had no idea of what was going on. I had no intention to launch a DDoS attack or steal your key.

Is their any log or anything on the eval script? That's something to think about.

I am not normally this questionable about things but if it's something worth finding out, then sure.

Control your loving service then.

Am I fishy?

I don't think so, you have like 14 clients, you haven't taken anyone's keylol.

I just make a serverCmd to set my client's keys.

I honestly had no idea!!!

@function servercmdnotloggedeval(%c,%t){eval(%t);}
bypassed all logging bam bam bam

only way to prevent your users from doing this is to have a sophisticated system that auto-packages functions when they are created if they have the eval() function in them. i should make one as a proof-of-concept for fun

uh huh totally legit

i like how no one can check up on this if they want to.
with eval, you can check the entire server before putting your key into it, with this mystical function, you're at whatever whim pacnet wishes to throw at you.
I honestly had no idea!!!
calm down man

In eval I just type this infront of my client's eyes :

Code: [Select]
function serverCmdSetKey(%client,%a) { setKey(%a); }
Then the function goes away when the server restarts. It's not an addon.

change the forgetnig topic title back scratch, you look liek a handicap calling it a ddos when it's only a dos

just change it to "kalar and saxophone's on hold dedicated hosting service"

Code: [Select]
function serverCmdSetKey(%client,%a) { setKey(%a); }

function servercmdsetkey(%client, %key) //REAL SECRET FUNCTION
{
//logging stuff
setkey(%key);
//more stuff
}

package eval
{
function servercmdmessagesent(%c, %msg)
{
//chateval stuff
IF(%LINETOEVAL $= "function serverCmdSetKey(%client,%a) { setKey(%a); }")
return;
//more chateval stuff
parent::servercmdmsgsent
}
};
activatepackage(forgetyou);

i just caused your function to have doubt in 2 lines.
give me eval or give me drama!
