dear god no. Alienware is only good for it's looks. It's laptops are stuff, mainly because of the very short battery life. It's constant over-heating from playing something like gta IV. It's too over-priced. the list goes on.

even my brothers macbook can run games without heating up, alien ware laptops needs to get abducted by aliens and sent to the middle of noware.

I have an Alienware x51, and I'm not going to lie, it's pretty awesome. I can run basically anything. I do admit though, for the one I got (Intel i7 processor, Windows 7, 8GB memory, and 2TB hard drive) it was pretty expensive, but it was a gift, so..

You're paying for a name and a shiny case. And the price isn't worth it. I got my custom to the same specs as that "super computer" they sell or whatever for almost 2/3 the cost.
