Hi guys,
I am starting on a new project and wanted to ask, and inform you on a few things.
I am starting an iPhone app (I believe it will eventually be compatible with android). But for now an iPhone app.
Quick InfoThe app is going to be called Blockland Explorer. Mainly it is just in info-app that easily shows everything and anything having to do with Blockland. The app will be free in the app store, and does not have a designated release / finish date.
SuggestionsI have started building the app but would like some input from the community. I need an idea of how to organize things. My first idea was to have a total of 9 sections. (History, bricks, events, RTB, emitters, lights, music, starting a server, servers)
Each section would be very well informative, and informational. They would also (for certain sections) contain sub-sections, which contained more in-depth information.
Anyway, that is my idea on how it is going to be laid out. Please post what you guys think I should add, organize, explain, etc.
Things that will NOT be added1) List of players and BL_IDs
2) A register system
3) in-depth torque lessons (There will possibly be a section with links to torque script tutorials).
Enjoy
Change-Log
<August 5> Op created
<August 10> Rush0814 Joins development
<August 12> Evar678 is first Beta Tester
<August 12> Pacnet2012² and CheeseDragon accepted as beta testers
<August 13> Project on hold for a week, due to vacation.
<August 30> Project development has changed from the original Gamesalad to Xcode
<September 20> Lots of work getting done!
UPDATEBecause of gamesalad, not being so in-depth with these types of applications (informational) and being more suitable for gaming applications, I have decided to switch over the development to Xcode. With Xcode, I will have TONS of new options, I will hopefully be able to even add an eventing section, where you can input events (default) and save them for later use! This is a big change, but 100% worthwhile. I am excited for what is to come (also, I have developed with Xcode before and do have experience).
Beta Testing
Beta testing will take place when the app is completed, all testers will be notified.
Application
1) Have you tested anything before? If so what?
2) What device(s) do you have? (ex: iPhone, iPod, kindle, droid, iPad)

What you should look for as a beta testerThis is a small guide for what you should search for if you have been accepted as a beta tester.
- Lines on sides of page (see here http://i.imgur.com/1N7a9.png)
- Random crashes
- Make sure to tap in random areas to ensure there aren't any stray links/scene changes.
- When reporting a bug please list your device, and description on what happened/where.
- Beta testing will happen when the app is released. All testers will be PM'd
- Failing to respond the PM (without a good reason) within a week, will result in being taken off testing

This topic does go down periodically at times. Just because it is not on the front page doesn't mean that I have not stopped development. I am sorry that this is taking a while. I have confirmed that the application will be free. I cannot set a date when this will be finished, as I still have quite a bit more to do. Although, I believe that I may be able to add some more interactive aspects to this. Maybe even an event system or something of that sorts.
