Author Topic: Ohio boy hospitalized after 4-day Xbox Live marathon - Jesus loving Christ.  (Read 3346 times)

I can see the parents sueing Microsoft for something that parents could have prevented. Soon we will be like China have limited game time and then locked out for for a few hours.

I just know my parents are going to try to use this against me. I play for, say, eight hours a day, with regular food and drink breaks. I've also taken to walking the treadmill.
That probably isn't enough for them. :l

wow what a lame way to go. xbox sucks big time. it's like collapsing from a heart attack watching the smurfs 3d
my god this quote is going to keep me happy for three days lol

What is there to do in MW3 for 4 days?

my parents are going to try to get me with this lol
I can feel it

God dammit media! There's a difference between video-games being dangerous and people being blatantly & self-destructively stupid. No break video-game marathons are a terrible way to waste a human life, but at least we know natural selection is still at work.

Natural selection is always at work. Who will be next? Will it be you? Will it be me? Will it be someone who decided not to wait five extra seconds before crossing the intersection? Who knows! :D

I feel this applies at least somewhat well here. I've noticed that parents have stopped accosting their children when they've done something wrong and instead are starting to blame everything but their kid. The teacher for giving bad grades, the video games for causing their children to misbehave/act violently/faint after playing for four days. It's never their fault or the child's fault, it's always someone else. Disgusts me.

Very, very true. Not enough punishment/respect with these kids.

Also, for whatever reason when I read that I thought it said 'masturbate'.

Video games told me to masturbate.

at least he has prestige 20! 8)

in all seriousness, maybe he might come from a troubled family and this is his only way to escape it?

Video games told me to masturbate.

gta sa introduced me to foot long purple carrots

That is the single most appropriate response to something being taken away from you I have ever heard of. I was going to post that but you beat me to it. Holy stuff. This kid is my loving idol.
