Author Topic: How do I install .NET Framework 4.0 on Win Server 2008 R2 without admin rights  (Read 607 times)

I found this program called UniExtract. It may work.
But on my server I don't have an admin account, and I need the .NET Framework 4 for a remote server control application by Jeepserver.

Any way you can do this? I have visual studio on my PC and I have the .NET Framework 4 on my PC.

The program was made with Microsoft Visual Basic 2008.

ask the admin to install it for you.

if you don't have an admin then how the forget did you manage yourself without an admin account?

Get off. It's $1000 total, and it is a business ready server computer. We have to earn administrator on it.

$300 being the server hardware and the $700 being the OS.

Windows Server is closer to a few grand, if I remember correctly.
IMO, Linux is good for servers, It's free and reliable.

lets just say he got a discount.

linux for servers 19XX-infinity.
we always used linux to server it up and we aren't stopping yet.

The server itself costed $500 bucks, all the upgrades like RAM and HDD costed about $200, and the OS was $300.

The OS is Windows Server 2008 R2 Foundation for HP ProLiant.

Foundation is least feature edition of 2008 R2.

I think $300 is a lot for an OS.
Microsoft is so money hungry.
