I've got a bug report related to semitransparent rendering.
Long story short, you can't see properly with transparency.

Pic 1 shows my Lubax Space Station build (the colors are slightly incorrect, I loaded the wrong colorset by mistake). I much preferred it when you couldn't see the sides of adjacent semitransparent bricks of the same color. It made it look much more smooth.

The second and third pictures are two pictures of the exact same cabinet in the MotE Mansion default gamemode. I think you can see the clear problem, but if not, it is that transparent bricks do not render behind SOME faces of other transparent bricks.
In the same map (sorry, I don't have a screeny), I learned that you cannot see bricks with the Undulo FX when they are behind a transparent brick.

Please work on fixing these, they're going to ruin the gamemode I'm designing because you need to be able to see some undulo FX bricks through windows, water, and so on.

EDIT: The "new reply" breaks image attatchments here on the forums. I posted the attatchments in the wrong topic. Silly me.
Uploading to external host...

Sorry if this causes pagestretch
Quote for massive pageloss and because I've learned that basically no FX bricks are visible behind transparent or invisipaint bricks. Anyways, Badspot, are you going to ever acknowledge this issue, because it breaks a lot of gamemodes with windows involved and even screws up default builds.

On another note, a section of the rock wall is missing from the MotE mansion build.

I appear to have found a rather major bug.
Whenever I start a server, whatever gamemode it is the graphics are rather glitchy, But after I equip an Item  the glitches go away.
This is on my stuff laptop, but I'm concerned for other users.

That's very strange. Try disabling vertex buffer objects in the advanced menu.

Tell me if that changes anything.

For me, a disabled Vertex Buffer Objects was what caused me to crash whenever I rendered a certain number of bricks.
It still happens now but it takes more bricks lol

It seems to have fixed itself anyway :S

Gah some issues go forever unacknowledged.
Is it because a console.log for my issue would be irrelevant?

Transparency is a an extremely minor aesthetic problem and therefore is the lowest possible priority.  Please stop flooding the thread now.

Even when it breaks many types of gamemodes? forget. My Bellkel gamemode WIP requires you to be able to see what FX bricks have on them through transparent windows.

Why can't you just make the brick invisible?

Why can't you just make the brick invisible?
Invisibly painted bricks fail, and this gamemode also requires transparent objects as things for salvage. It's a salvage-like mod, but many valuables have brick fx and are only visible through windows.

I could try to leave gaps in windows or scramble the directions until something works, but maybe fix this too, if you please, Badspot.

Wait, wasn't the entire v21 update aesthetic only? :/

I can't see any Animated lights such as:

Strobe lights

RgB

Alarm?

anything I can do?

aaaaaaand this is why I don't acknowledge things like this.  Because you'll just continue to sperg out endlessly instead of acknowledging that priorities need to be set and you should just find some other solution.  Here's some pro tips:
  • Make valuables be glow or normal fx - seriously, the fx bricks all look like stuff anyway.
  • Don't have windows
  • Have non-rendering bricks instead of windows
  • Fix the likely huge number of other bugs and design issues in your game mode
