i think the difference between one game server and a social networking tool of the whole game is a bit big for that to work.

why?

there is no such thing as a public server. even if stated as such. any server of any kind is owned by someone out there, and they have terms.

we should be so lucky that the terms to using ephi's service is that we:
1) dont break or lag it somehow (oh wait. kalph HAS done this in the past hasnt he... i believe that was a previous rtb ban for him)
2) dont be a richard to the owner (oh wait... kalph has gone out of his way to do this on many an unnecessary occasion)

Sure it will be fixed, but bashing him isn't the correct way to report bugs. This isn't the first time you've done it and you can't deny that.

Enjoy never using RTB again, I'll be sure to reban you if Ephi ever decides to unban you for some crazy reason.
hateful people blockland is full of.

If Kalphiter is right and Ephi banned him for criticizing him then Ephialtes is a thin-skinned handicap

regardless of Kalphiter's behavior however, he runs an extremely stuffty dedicated hosting service that is only used because it's the only viable one around

the Blockland community is full of tards either way so who cares

What is your point?

Why is it stuffty?

If my experience with Wedge's Brick Party are indicative of all servers on your service (which it is given it's running almost no add-ons compared to other servers) then your servers are slow, crash often, lag, and they all collectively take a giant stuff when Badspot's list server hiccups

Either Badspot completely forgeted over Torque's netcode or your service sucks. Occam's Razor suggests the latter

also I haven't paid much attention to Blockland's community until recently but given the other 10 pages of this thread you've built up a nice reputation for being a pompous stuffheel with an ego rivaling VY Canis Majoris in volume

crash often
Not an issue with me.

lag
Get better internet.

Not my fault the game is made to crash if it can't connect to the master server.

Not an issue with me.

That's not an acceptable excuse.

Get better internet.

Not the best internet connection but more than sufficient to play Blockland.

Not my fault the game is made to crash if it can't connect to the master server.
The least you can do is write a watchdog program that reboots servers when they go down. Throwing your hands in the air and saying "welp I can't fix this" is extremely poor behavior on the part of someone managing a service like dedicated hosting. Behavior like that at a real sysadmin job would get you fired

That's not an acceptable excuse.
I'd like you to point to all the servers that crashed.

okay *points to all of kalphiter's servers*

okay but don't hide behind "its the games fault not mine!!!" when a user's server goes tits-up and claim that the real problem is Badspot drawing slave girl research instead of working on netcode because all that matters is that your service failed

Wow kalphiter actually lost here..

good work gentlemen

okay *points to all of kalphiter's servers*
I really don't see any crashes besides ones with which users have found add-on problems.

I get 35ms and live in your general area. Your internet sucks, but that doesn't quantify lag.

I can't do anything about the server crashing because the master server stuffs itself. Why don't you get this?

you're hilarious

I like how your argument goes from "your internet sucks" to "your internet sucks but that isn't part of the problem"

Also a difference of 12 ms doesn't mean "sucky internet", you don't even know what my "general area" is beyond that I live 50 miles away from Clifton, NJ and 100 miles away from Brooklyn, NY. Road Runner isn't great Internet but it's more than sufficient to play any online video game I want.

Also this is irrelevant because the lag issues in Wedge's Brick Party were experienced by multiple people besides myself

You can set up a watchdog program that reboots servers so users don't have to do it manually. Why don't you get that?

My argument didn't "change", but I'm failing to see how to classify it as lag.
Yes, I can guess your general area because ISPs will route it through New York making it a tiny difference.

You should show this to me. Hope you're not confusing it with duplicator locking the server up.

You can set up a watchdog program that reboots servers so users don't have to do it manually. Why don't you get that?
Didn't I just say I was getting to that? I can't do anything about the actual crashing.

did you even have any friends on rtb
