Author Topic: DVDs before release?  (Read 511 times)

Okay, so my mom has a friend at work that goes to a place where she can gets movies on DVD before they're even released. To prove it, I now have hunger games on DVD, and it's not even out yet. How exactly does this even work?

Probably pirated it and burned it to a DVD.

you have to market a DVD before selling it, but it's probably already manufactured. or it's a movie theater extra tape

You hear people making sounds that are not in the movie?

The China Town near me has a ton of these. They all look fake. Covers are made with printer paper.

I don't understand how bootleg dvds get such good audio but such stuff video. Also just because you say you have hunger games doesn't mean its proof

Nope. It's all legit, except the picture quality.

Well, there's plenty of proof if I actually need to show proof.

Well the store "release date" doesn't mean that they just got the DVDs and are selling them immediately.  Usually the stores get the copies to sell before the street release date, sometimes a few days before or a few weeks before.  That's how people can acquire actual legitimate copies before street date, by having connections with either the distributor company or a store selling them.
