Teleri land prospectors have explored the region, and found that there are substantial deposits of iron, lead, copper, zinc, tungsten, bismuth, and polonium beneath Telar. There are smaller deposits of silver, cadmium, cobalt, nickel, and manganese. Oh yeah, there's some calcium too.
Efforts to mine most of this will be greatly hindered by the depth at which the greater deposits are at. For now, only the cobalt, silver, zinc, and lead are mined.
