why does my mouse keep twitching/moving on its own :'(

i've cleaned it today and it still keeps twitching like mad and it's really hard to click on things because the cursor flies halfway across the screen(that's an exaggeration but still)
what do

if you're using a laptop / eyboard with trackpad your arms could be moving the mouse without you even trying to

I only ever got this with this one stuffty Microsoft mouse.

I had the exact same problem, except it flailed all the way across the screen all over the place.  It's terrible, man :C

have you tried plugging it into a different usb port, sometimes that helps.
