You could have a tattoo dyed, I suppose, but tanning is weird. Plus I don't really like super-muscly looking guys, lol. And having visible nipples on males, which I don't think you can really see through the fur. At least you can't on my cat or dog.

Scales don't tan either. Although most reptiles (read: all) are exothermic, so they'd need to bask in the sun.
