Author Topic: No maps?  (Read 2351 times)

General discussion is finally getting more posts, I say no.
It doesn't count if they're all stuff.

It's not the maps I miss, It's 60% of my saves that I miss.

why'd you bump this

You sillies should've copied the maps and put them in a safe folder. :D
the maps weren't deleted, they just aren't useable

code-breaking

They never broke code, unless the person making a map had done something horribly wrong.

I always used to use Slate. No point in complicating building with uneven terrain and giant obstacles.
blockland isn't only for building.

in heed's eyes, it was for making two bases that are 3 map loops apart in some random direction, and a bunch of people going solo in 7-seated vehicles.

incorrect exaggeration. they were no more than 2 map loops apart and the bases were north/south or east/west of eachother. there was never a lack of action either.

building the terrain out of bricks would be no better than using terrain maps in place. using terrain maps in place of a build is not lazy, it's efficient. especially when trying to create battlefield-like games.

Hey, those solo people often were banned.

I always used to use Slopes. No point in complicating building with brick terrains that use invisible/filler supports and have glitchy collision.

I always thought the old maps were bad, and I am glad that there is all this new stuff like shaders. The only thing I really miss about the old maps is being able to play a dogfight or a TDM on them.
