Author Topic: I Need Help With Rayman 2 PC  (Read 666 times)

So, recently i have obtained Rayman 2 for pc for 2 bucks from a yard sale, never opened. I'm very please except that it DOESN'T WORK ON loving WINDOWS 7. Can any of you guys help me out? I really want to play the game again. My good 'ol ps1 version is forgeted and i don't own a ps2 for my ps2 version.

What i'm asking for is compatibility help. Apparently i can get a Windows Console thing from the windows website but i'm not sure if that'd even work.

So yeah :C

What "type" (eg. home, professional, ultimate) is your PC?

I think whether its 32 bit or 64 bit would be the more important question.

Or, you know, what the problem is other than "it doesnt work"

Rayman 2 apparently only runs on XP but there are ways to make it work on Win 7.

Sadly the Pirate Community forums, Aka the Rayman forums, are so inactive it's impossible to get an answer. I'm feeling i'll have to resort to the Win xp console thing.

The XP console simulator is not compatible with Home Premium, so you'll have to skip that.

That's what the Rayman community said but you can just download it anyway . . .
The website believes anything you tell it but yeah it doesn't work i just checked. :C

Ugh this is annoying.

I am glad you decided to play one of my favorite games of all time.
But really, getting RM2 to work on Win7 is quite difficult and there is a built in anti-pirate system that checks the disc constantly and if it is damaged it won't accept it and turns of the game.

Of course this would be a pain in the arse after you found such a bargain, but I'd recommend you to buy it digitally from Good ol' Games.
This works for Win7 and is digitally downloaded through their site, like steam. It's 6$
