Are you signed to a label? How many live shows have you done? Do you have a good producer and a quality studio producing your stuff?

As much as connections can help, no amount of Ian's help will get you on Warped tour if your band doesn't sound better than any of your favorite artists right now. That's the goal at least, to cultivate a sound that is better than your favorite artists.
