There's the way stuff has to be programmed for Macs, and then there's the way for every other device.

Umm... Ok. Not really helpful though. I know that already.

Another Mac user, this time with a card from the 3600 family, just reported the same issue on Barnabas's servr.

Yeah, I have a friend on RTB who has a mac, same problem.

an iMac BTW, so no, it's not a mobile card)

Nope.  iMacs run on mobility series radeon. iMacs are glorified laptops.

If that's the case, then why doesn't it say that? Either way I don't care. Seems to me that laptops and desktops these days are about on the same level as each other anyway.

i have amd raedon HD 6570 and i can run them on medium :)

It might just be certain specific hiccups with certain Mac computers due to Mac OS X and OpenGL.  I'm probably wrong but it's just a half-assed educated guess, sorry :(

Yeah, no.

Apple has an obsession of making environmentally friendly products that have poor performance.

I have a nVidia GeForce 320m. It's stuff but I can run F:NV and AvP on it.

I'm planning on doing a PC build with a GTX690

Doesn't this belong in one of the Help categories...?
