Author Topic: Best internet service for around $40/month?  (Read 2455 times)

Our internet sucks. Blatantly, sucks. Right now we have Verizon "high speed" DSL, and it is the stufftiest internet I have ever seen. We seriously need an upgrade, but we don't want to pay too much more. What is the best service we can get for roughly $40 a month?

There's your problem.
okay seriously how does that even help me

im asking for a good internet service, not why my internet sucks so bad

Get Comcast let me check for prices..
Edit : $30/months for 6 months and like $50/month after that for 20 mbs

I think it depends where you live.

WROOONG.

Verizon is a great ISP.  So is Comcast.  The difference is that Comcast likes to stuff on their customers in terms of support and service and Verizon only sometimes likes to.

DSL
THIS is the loving problem.

Great internet is not cheap.  My family pays over $100+/month for fiber optic TV and Internet, and I think phone too.  HD channels and all that jazz, good phone quality and insanely fast internet.  5.5 MB/s download.  I download games off Steam within at least half an hour.

200 mb/s download for $70 a month or 5 mbit/s for $300 and then free forever
hello sir

Comcast offers twenty mega bits per second. Capital B = bytes, lower case b = bits
Idk If Nick used the capital B without knowing the difference, but if he's using it correctly his service is 44 megabits per second, over twice as fast as Comcast's basic service
