if I wanted to be healed, I'd consult the nearest dispenser or health locker
if I wanted to be invincible and rip stuff up, I'd consult the nearest medic
if I wanted to be poked in the abdomen with a band aid, I'd leave the server and buy a box of band aids

quick fix is stuffty as hell

I agree with that, I mean in some situations I can see it useful, but I have little to no issue taking out any class that has a quickfix medic as opposed to anything that can overheal.

the medic's other medi guns can overheal teammates though, allowing them to absorb more damage than normally anticipated.
this can help soldiers and demos move to the front lines faster (they can rocket/sticky jump without losing base health) and get some air kills. flying with them using the quick fix would only inconvenience the rest of your team.

making your team invincible is much better than quickly repairing damage, too. a quick fix uber can hardly take out a sentry nest or flush enemies out of a point

if you overhealed everyone beforehand, they wouldn't be at half health nor under fire

The quick fix is good when you already have a medic on your team that can overheal / übercharge people but still need some additional healing power. It's terrible for pocketing but it's very useful for healing teammates at the frontline.

i typically run the medigun and use an amp taunt for any dire circumstances, like when pushing dustbowl with the third cap area.

Stop fighting over medi-guns. Just get healed and be happy you at least have a medic on your team.

Only time I'm medic is when I'm gonna screw around with my team, going over to them for a heal then just leaving them to die as I start following a friendly scout.
