i sold my unusual, felt like it was gimmicky and hardly complimented my character. I later did some research and found it was duped like all hell and nobody really wanted it except for some random guy apparently.

Okay, so get this.

When an item is highly valued, should it matter whether or not it is craftable?

Say for an example, an uncraftable villain's veil. It's still a loving misc and looks EXACTLY the same as a clean one, but why do people run from uncraftables like the plague? Unless they're craft hats, I honestly don't give a stuff if they're craftable or not. I'm going to wear it and it'll be the same.

I'm trying to sell my white ornaments yet literal everyone is scared because they're uncraftable. Does that matter? They look EXACTLY the same as clean ones. shiiiiiet

I mentioned that at some point earlier in this thread (a WHILE ago) it makes absolutely no sense. I think I brought that up when purchasing my Fast Learner, I was confused as to why the price difference was so high since no one would craft a craftable one anyways.

Items not being craftable and being worth less are two different results of the same thing: it's buyable from the store. The items are not worth less because they're uncraftable.
I don't buy hats to wear them, I buy hats so that I absorb their value. Hats that people can buy for super-cheap on the store (sales) don't have as much value, even though they're exactly the same in every other way except crafting.

The combination of the "(Not usable in crafting)" tag on the description of a dirty item and the implication that it was obtained the "easy way" (purchased instead of crafted or found) reduces its value

I bought mine for 1.33 and was taken aback seeing how awesome it is.

Naturally considering it's the Fabricate/Rebuild Headgear recipe which picks randomly from the list of all currently available hats

i think i just figured out the recent update: valve didn't actually remove item sets, the just reoved the perks and "nerfed" a few weapons so they'd be used together, like the liberty launcher and dead ringer, so they'd be used with other weapons, like the reserve shooter and l'etranger.

if they're going that route they should give the tomislav -15 percent damage for a faster rev and weapon switch rate, seeing how the set includes a shotgun and brass knuckles.

it's the most fun minigun for heavy in my opinion, I think it's fine as is.
