Reposting, but changed a few things
because you know gotta have loads of health on your stealth class designed to not take damage


The Presidential Ordnance/Homing Howitzer
Level 42 Rocket Launcher
After firing, rockets are guided via player cursor
+50% explosive damage
+25% splash range
Firing renders player immobile until the rocket explodes
-75% clip size
-25% primary ammo
-50% splash damage



The Saturated Salvo
Level 33 Rocket Launcher
Rockets fire in an arc
+100% clip size
+25% firing speed
+50% primary ammo on wearer
Wearer does not receive ammo from dropped weapons and metal
User is rendered immobile until all rockets have exploded
-34% reload time
+20% bullet damage vulnerability on wearer
+20% explosive damage vulnerability on wearer


that seems a little TOO complex for a sapper

I would be nice to have a sapper that was used in the "Meet the Spy" video, though it would have to be at least one of these things: Destroyable by any class, easy to see, or only usable if uncloaked.

Undisguised you mean? Considering you already can't use any of the sappers while cloaked

Yeah, thats what i meant.

The red tape recorder is almost never useful because all it does it become a temporary annoyance instead of actually harming the machine.

i think it'd be simpler for a sapper to heal you after it successfully saps a building, but maybe it takes just a few more seconds longer to destroy it (so then it'd be like -25% damage or something) and maybe there is like a 1 second cooldown so then you can't just tap all over the buildings.
that way its more of a little treat than something to depend on

I think you're missing the point of the Red Tape Recorder.

It's meant to reduce the buildings to lower levels, thus making them weaker and easier for your team to deal with now.
Especially sentries, it will reduce a Lvl 3 sentry to a lvl 2 or 1, and that's a pretty big difference to your team in terms of being able to push or not.

I was thinking of something like this, except the sapper would take around 1.5 times the normal amount of time to destroy a sentry and would create a Healing beam from the sapper to the spy. You also can only have one out at once.

This would pretty much make it so a Engineer would either have to deal with the sapper before he can kill the spy, or have his teammates help him defend his buildings from the spy while he detaches the sapper. It would probably make Other classes defending sentry nests a little more common.
