high school is mandatory in the united states until you're 16 (or 17, I think it varies between states)
Okay.
It's a bit weird to compare. There are different tiers of places of education in the UK.

For me, it's gone:
Primary school (Ages 5-11)
Secondary school (Ages 11-16) {16 is the end of compulsary education}
College [Sixth Form] (Ages 16-18) {This is entirely optional, and education usually ends at age 18, but may be later, depending on re-takes and the age you are when you enroll (Since you can enroll as an adult)}
University (18+)

So, I'm in College, currently entering my second year at age 17. Was 16 for my first year.

So, anyway, my argument is just that if you're still in optional education, and you can't do your homework, you probably shouldn't be in optional education.

If you're smart, and are in a basic class (me!), you're going to get horded for copiers (mainly people you sit with). You said you're 16 and in college. So you most likely had upper-classes. People in upper-classes generally tend to care about their education.

Not sure what college has to do with this? I myself do my homework as it should be done (95% of the time). High School is required for everyone under the age of 16. After 16, it is the parents jurisdiction until they turn 18.
I might have confused due to not having the same terms for education as you.

I'm in College now, which is optional, where there is essentially no copying, since it generally means you can't do the work.

For my last year of compulsary education (In Secondary School), I was age 15 (Most of the people in my year were 16 for most of the year, since I have a very late birthday in the school year [August]).
Even during this, there wasn't lots of copying.
And throughout my compulsary education I was in either Set 2 or Set 1 (My schools used a Sets system, numbered 1-5. Number 1 is supposed to be the smartest [not always, and definitely not the best behaved] and Number 5 is the dumbest [usually true]).

A couple of dunces would copy from time to time, but mostly, you either did the homework yourself, or you didn't do it and got into trouble. (Or you were like me, too lazy to do most of the homework, yet managed to talk your way out of any punishment).

i hate copiers. My friend snuck a secret camera and caught a copier on his tape and showed it to the teacher.

Kid got suspended
In my school, you'd get suspended for use of a camera. I don't mind homework copiers so much, but test copiers annoy me.

That's an assumption.

Also, my school is strict on cheating. It's mainly done between friends though:

1st Time: 0 on the assignment / test, and a detention / suspension.
2nd Time: Failed the course for the year. Even if it's the second week. And suspension.

So, doing your homework makes you a nerd that is desperate for attention? People copy from people who copy, or copy from people who do their homework. It makes no difference. Because at times, I'll have to copy theirs. And telling people to forget off in High School isn't going to work well.
No, it's being a submissive pusillanimous individual, letting the entire class (as you described it) copy your stuff and then complaining about it, that makes you the nerd of the class. And I've done my time in high school lol. I've told my fair share of douchebags and bitches to forget off, and still managed to keep a close and loving amazing group of friends. I simply don't understand why it "won't work well". Do you go to like a ghetto as forget american school or something? brothers gonna punk a bitch they mouf off?

why do people put completely off topic things in polls
it's stoopid

I suspect he's just an unlikable person and so has to allow people to copy in order to interact in a quasi-positive social manner. But I could be wrong.

Too much to do gets me energized. I hate doing nothing, it makes me mad at myself that I honestly have nothing to do. I'd rather do 10 things at once than do nothing! That's why I'm giong to a motherloving renaissance fair tommorow YEAHHH

Hm. I'm now a submissive pusillanimous individual because I let mainly my friends copy my homework when they need it. I still don't see how that make's me a submissive pusillanimous individual and a nerd. People in my school work in groups. People generally copy people in their "clique". But everyone pretty much gets along, so people help people out. If you tell one person to forget off, you've just told about 10 or 12 people. And it starts a bunch of stuff that isn't necessary over last nights math homework. I'm not afraid to tell someone to forget off, but I'm not going to start a bunch of stuff over homework. Also, I don't "let the entire class" copy my homework.

1/3 things happens:
- You do the homework.
- You copy your friends homework.
- You scribble down answers.

So, now that I let my friends (as in, the people who sit at my table - or that I know well enough and get along with) copy me when they need it, I'm an unlikable person with no social interaction. Yet you don't know me, and because I don't give a stuff if my friends copy me, I'm a submissive pusillanimous individual with no friends that goes to a ghetto school, and a nerd who nobody likes. What the forget is this?

plus my work is popcorn

I always thought it was clique, not cliche, in that use.

Oh and I hate being overstressed so much that I avoid all livelihood.

Funny story, actually. I do usually do my homework one way or another. I missed 2 assignments one week. I actually was using my notes and writing down the answers on the notes, so it was complete garbage. The last answer he checked, and it was of course wrong. He liked me though, so he let me turn it in and get 1/2 credit, and didn't write me up for a detention (miss 2 assignments a week) :p I saved my friend too, because he didn't write him up either.

But seriously: Most of the time, I take the time during my Study Hall to get my homework done. The rest I usually finish at home, or the next day in the morning.

And actually, yeah, you're submissive if you let your friends copy. There's no reason to do it.

I love doing research, the more I'm forced to do, the better.
