How long would I get banned for posting for a banned user?

I was talking with Brotatoe and he asked me to post for him since he is banned for a bit, so I did. Then he tells me I can get banned for posting for banned users. We both don't know how long that sort on ban lasts for. Does anyone know if I would get banned and how long? :(

im guessing we're going by badspot's code of laws, where you're banned for a week if you break a minor rule, and forever if you break a major rule, and if you break 5-6 minor rules and get banned for all of them, you'll get perma'd

I'm sure if Badspot understood you didn't know that it was an offence until after the point that you posted, and now you realize that you can't really post for banned users, I think you'll be fine.

Well it's not like Badspot just goes around browsing random threads. If anything you might get away with it if no one reports the post.
