Author Topic: My friend in NJ can't get to my server.  (Read 1065 times)

Hey guys, my friend in New Jersey can't get on my blockland server. The other day the server was fine. The next day, he couldn't connect but it was just him. He always screams at me that its my server. I think its him. I really want to know why it wont work. He says restarting my computer won't fix it, but it fixes it most of the time. He doesn't believe my methods, and he thinks that its all my server. How do i fix this problem? In the console log it just says the 0 available connection things. Here:

Slayer (Server): Deactivating Slayer

Forgot to mention: I like in MA.

I waited forever and nobody replied? This is why i frickin' bump. All you jerks tell me NOT TO BUMP, and then THIS HAPPENS. Yes, this IS a bump.

is port forwarding an option for you?

Try using UPnP. In your router settings enable it if you can and in-game make sure this option is NOT checked under Network : "Disable UPnP".

Then use port 28000 on your server.

... he IS using UPnP, did you even read his post? do you see all of the "starting arranged connection" ?

Tell him to allow blockland to bypass the firewall, TCP and UDP, outgoing and ingoing.

If that doesn't work or he doesn't know how to do that, then he is screwed. Also, forwarding ports 1-65535 is a last resort, but that would be the equivalent of disabling his firewall.

OP, you need to forward port 2800. There is a tutorial here: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=40783.0
