Author Topic: Audacity: How to make a certain echo?  (Read 1285 times)

Hello,

I was just wondering how i could make an echo in audacity where it sounds like your in a big room.

And an echo that sounds like your speaking in a microphone.

Help?

On audacity click "effects Tab" then "Echo" (Make sure audio is highlighted)

For a room effect, do 0.1 delay time and for a microphone effect do 0.2

I also need to muffle the echo, to make it sound like it's coming from inside a building, hearing it from outside.

The effect you're looking for is called reverb.

pretty much this

cant find it, where is it

I don't think they have it in audacity. You might get the same thing if you mess with the timing of the delay though.

How would I make it sound like I'm in a vent?

Go under effects and look near the bottom for "Gverb"

Gverb is a Reverb tool, but it's also experimental.
